Modern flat-earthers distrust major institutions such as governments, media, school, scientists and airlines that claim the world is round. They think people accept the scientific theories “on blind faith and to reject the evidence of their own senses.” High-quality Flat Earth Map round pinback buttons designed and sold by independent artists, ready to pin on backpacks, lapels, denim jackets, and wherever. This would cause the shadow on the moon to be round, but the shape of the Earth to be flat. A follow-up question might be whether the Earth could be flat and round, like a pancake. And yet flat earthers cling to a map which is technically wrong. You can't replicate a spherical map onto a flat surface and so its technically wrong. If you do this, you’ll see that there is a round shadow, not a flat one. This is the result of taking a 3d spherical map and flattening it out to 2d basically and is used for its simplicity in navigation at sea. They claim to be different from other flat-earthers. When this happens, you can actually see the Earth’s shadow if you look up at the moon. In Canada, Flat Earth Society was established in 1970 by philosopher Leo Ferrari.
However, Alfred Russel Wallace adjusted Rowbotham’s method to avoid the effects of atmospheric refraction, and found a curvature that is consistent with a round Earth. He said the boat remained at the same level for six miles therefore, the Earth is flat.
He used a telescope that stood eight inches above the water to watch a boat moving along the river. And this is the rotation that scientists mistakenly presume is the earth rotating. That causes the whole wheel of time to rotate 360 degrees in 24 hours. Very similar to many other flat earth maps, this one is notable in part due to its inclusion of the sun above. It has an axle that rotates once every twenty-four hours. Samuel Birley Rowbotham, the founder of The Flat Earth Society conducted the first observations and claimed the Earth is flat. As taught in the schools of Zion, Il this map represents the official view of Mayor WIlbur Glenn Voliva. The purpose of the experiment is to measure the curvature of the Earth.
